    Reimagining exhibition and recreational hub
(AIKTC, 2026-06) Wadikar, Mousami A; Ansari, Aqdas Akram (21AR04)
The convention and exhibition sector has emerged as one of the fastest-growing industries of the 21st century, forming a core component of the MICE industry—meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions. Beyond positioning destinations competitively on the global map, the MICE sector enhances tourism, stimulates local economies, and fosters cultural exchange. However, a key challenge lies in the underutilization of these large-scale venues during non-event periods. This study investigates methods of design to reimaging the role of exhibition space into multifunctional optimal utilization for public, adaptable, and flexible spaces that offer continuous activity while improving economic and social value. KEY WORD: Evolving Industries, Convention & Exhibition, Multi-functional, Underutilization, Community Engagement.
