Item Attendance management app using face regonition(AIKTC, 2020-05) Balsing, Altaf; Khan, Amanullah Vasiulah (12ET24); Nachan, Shaineela Sahir (17DET54); Hanfi, Sameena Asadullah (16ET03)Commencing from the last decade several different methods have been planned and developed in the prospect of face recognition that is one of the chief stimulating zone in the area of image processing. Face recognitions processes have various applications in the prospect of security systems and crime investigation systems. The study is basically comprised of three phases, i.e., face detection, facial features extraction and face recognition. The first phase is the face detection process where region of interest i.e., features region is extracted. The 2nd phase is features extraction. Here face features i.e., eyes, nose and lips are extracted out commencing the extracted face area. The last module is the face recognition phase which makes use of the extracted left eye for the recognition purpose by combining features of Eigenfeatures and Fisher features.Item Device control using augmented reality(AIKTC, 2017-05) Balsing, Altaf; Mulla, Aaisha (12ET101; Syed, Azmi (13ET08); Mandal, Najmul (12ET36); Gupta, Pratik (12ET21)In recent years, augmented reality technology is being widely used in various areas. Augmented Reality (AR) is basically a real view modified by a computer. It uses computer generated imagery and sounds to enhance one’s current perception of reality. While virtual reality describes an imaginary world that exists in computers and our minds, augmented reality is a mixture of real world and virtual world. It is therefore different for the human mind to tell the difference between real world and augmented reality. In this paper, we describe the development of a prototype that uses augmented reality to control electrical devices like fan, motors, AC etc. by hand gestures. Up to 8 electrical devices can be controlled. A virtual plane is present between user and display. The user interacts with this virtual plane and hands and fingers are tracked and gestures recognized. These gestures are then used to select the button on the display which are used for selecting a particular device and to turn it on or off as per the requirement of user. This project is very helpful for people of physical limitations like old age people, physically disabled people and also used for industrial and office work.Item Fire detection system using image pocessing(AIKTC, 2016-05) Balsing, Altaf; Sarkawas, Nagma (12ET07); Azad, Kulsum (12ET02); Ansari, Mohd. Salim (12ET13)Fire detection is the main objective of this project besides surveillance. The aim of the project is to early detection of fire apart from preventive measures to reduce the losses due to hazardous fire. The project mainly is based on image processing and arduino serial communication. In this project, at the user end, the fire images will be feeded in the form of video frames. These images will be further processed by using the software, MATLAB. The proposed system uses RGB and YCbCr color space. The advantage of using YCbCr color space is that it can separate the luminance from the chrominance more effectively than RGB color space. along with this smoke, motion, area detection is also performed using its color characteristics. The proposed system consist of hardware such as arduino, DHT 11 to monitor the Humidity and Temperature. There is a camera for the surveillance. This camera will give a real-time video output to the user on the laptop or computer via a small GUI-graphic user interface which is to be built in MATLAB. Thus the fire will be detected using this model. This project can also be served for security and surveillance applications.Item Gesture to voice converter using Arduino(AIKTC, 2019-05) Balsing, Altaf; Afzal, Mohammed Ibrahim (14DET69); Ansari, Naushad Ahmed Aslam (16DET51); Sonde, Shahrukh Salam (15DET81); Ansari, Afaque Javed Alam (14DET70)Around 5% of the Indian population has difficulty in speaking or cannot speak. So, sign language is a method of non-verbal communication that is used by deaf and dumb people. Normal people do not learn sign language. The problem arises here and this problem becomes a barrier between them. The past implementation of this project involved using image processing concept and accelerometer. But the drawback of these implementations are projects were non portable and too expensive. In this research paper, we have suggested a wearable glove for people who face difficulty in communicating verbally due to various different reasons (be it deaf or dumb), so that with the possession of this device, they can exhibit their basic requirements via their gestures and those gestures will be converted to speech for the hearer to understand what is he or she trying to say. This project Gesture to Voice Converter using Arduino is the better way of representing hand movement data to the normal people. It is the manual communication used by mute people for an effective communication. There are only few who can understand the sign language communicated by the mute community. The model is developed with the help of electronic device in a way that translates the sign language into text and speech in order to communicate in public place. A wired glove is used with flex sensors stitched according to the length of each finger. This paper guides to the developing technology such as digital glove. It investigates the qualities of the gadget and examines future wok. The goal of this paper is to provide innovative framework for this technology.Item Network management(AIKTC, 2019) Balsing, AltafSubject : Telecommunication Network Management; Semester : VIII
