Therefore, in order to create a perfect inventory control system, various inventory items should be classified into the significant categories based on appropriate criteria and standards. Various models and methods have been so far presented to classify inventory among which, ABC analysis approach is one of the most common methods which is widely used for planning andt5 inventory control. Inventory classification based on ABC analysis allows the organization to classify its inventory into the significant categories. Generally, the above approach has been formed based on the Pareto Principle which is also known as “20-80” law. Regarding the organizations’ inventory, this principle will be expressed as follows: In the manufacturing organizations, there are only a few inventories which mostly contribute to the cost of the annual consumption of the organization’s inventory system and there are only anew inventories which a little contribute to the dollar value of the annual consumption of the inventory system. Given that the primary purpose of the inventory classification based on this approach is to create appropriate control levels for each inventory category, this question will be raised that whether the inventory classification based on single criterion ABC analysis will be able to meet all the needs of the organization’s inventory control system. As a result, the organizations can apply proper control policies by identifying the most effective criteria in their inventory classification. This study has also tried to present proposed ABC model for the hostel mess stores, in order to evaluate the inventory control system of the studied in that. For this purpose, first, the criteria affecting the evaluation of the inventory control system, classification of inventory and the priority of each One of the criteria in the studied mess stores and the priority of each one of the criteria in each inventory category (A, B, C) have been identified and model will be proposedItem Automation of material handling system(AIKTC, 2015-05) Gandhi, Asif; Farooqui, Saad (11ME21); Pachapure, Zaid (11ME40); Rawoot, Mudassir (11ME46); Wangde, Nawaz (11ME61); Ansari, ZakirIn today‟s competitive era, every firm wants to automate their production line to improve and to stand in the global market. Manual material handling in re-rolling mills is a very risky process and hence to promote worker safety, firms are trying to achieve automation and eliminate manual handling. In this report, Material handling system of PRATAP RE-ROLLERS PVT LTD., a medium scale re-rolling industry has been investigated. A 5-Phase methodology by HK systems has been adopted to diagnose the problems in material handling at PRATAP RE-ROLLERS. Current report includes actual material handling system of the plant and three main areas that call for the improvement in material handling have been identified. Out of these three identified areas, this report focuses on one area and few feasible solutions in the form of semi-automated mechanisms have been proposed within the given constraints.Item Design and construction of feul theft detection system in automobile(AIKTC, 2022-05) Gandhi, Asif; Kazi, Mohammed Saad Mushtaque Ahmed (18ME31)); Farooqui, Mohammed Faisal Mohibullah (18ME23); Ansari, Aftab Alam Faiz Mohammad (18ME03)Now a day's all world become digital so that we can easily deal with real time system. At same time digital fuel meter which is implemented in recent vehicle system has drawback that is actual fuel present in fuel tank of bike is not shown in term of digits instead shown in terms of bar or deflecting needle. Due to this we did not get idea about actual fuel present in fuel tank of bike it only shows the level of fuel present in fuel tank. Sometimes customer fill fuel from petrol filling pump they filled the petrol in digitally but in our vehicle, there is no digital system there is bar or deflection needle system. The figure shows the existing fuel meter in bikes and cars. But it cannot give the accurate value of fuel filled, so the petrol filling pump owner is cheated on customer but customer do not know about cheating due to existing fuel metering system. All benefit goes to the petrol filling pump owner so that they many times cheated with customer. To solve this problem, we developed a system of digital fuel meter that indicate value of fuel in digits such as 1lits, 1.5lits, 2lits etc. The digital fuel meter is applicable for all type of vehicles like car and bikes etc.Item Design and manufacturing of portable, compact and efficient hydrogen reactor(AIKTC, 2022-05) Gandhi, Asif; Khan, Aftab Alam Shoaib (18ME34); Khan, Mujib Jumma (18ME39); Khodekar, Salman Abdus Salam (18ME46); Saurabh, Shreepati Dubey (18ME55)Hydrogen reactors (also called hydrogen electrolysers) available today are mostly focused on the large-scale industrial level production of hydrogen requiring huge capital expenditure to setup and operate also the skilled person to operate the complex process which is time consuming and lengthy process. No such viable reactors are present for small scale use that everyday people can incorporate into their use cases efficiently and at low costs. In this Project the design and fabrication work of two low cost and efficient reactors is manufactured, with low cost and at cheaper rate of gas production as compared to market rate of production of hydrogen gas at same price. Low share of hydrogen production for everyday applications is due to cost ineffectiveness, high maintenance, low durability and stability of the reactors produced at such low-price points. This overall work of all the researches, product & considering the design parameters are kept in mind towards achieving the goal of fabricating hydrogen reactors for everyday applications and at the same time keeping the costs as low as possible with better efficiency and safety features so even low unskilled worker can operate and produce the hydrogen gas for any purpose of industrial or commercial scale.Item Design of automatic car parking system(AIKTC, 2019-05) Gandhi, Asif; Singh, Sushil ( 15ME117); Mohammed, Hussain ( 13ME43); Siddiqui, Arfat ( 15ME114)Lack of space availability has always been a problem in urban areas and major cities and to add to it there are cars parked callously on the streets that further limit the space. In order to handle the issue of parking in busy places various types of vehicle parking systems are used worldwide namely Multi-level Automated Car Parking, Automated Car Parking System, Volkswagen Car Parking and many more. The present project work is aimed to develop a reduced working model of a car parking system for parking 6 to 10 cars within a parking area. It is an amalgamation of the already developed parking systems with the added advantage of reduced space occupancy by the design of a simpler and compact parking system that is lifted up and occupies vertical parking space. The project is aimed to develop a car parking system automatically without having driver. In automatic car parking,RFID module is used along with car for finding on which floor, slot the car has to be parked. Here required slot is fixed for some specific car. Here lifting mechanism along with different motors is used for parking a car to required floor& slot. Hence DACPS can be used at busy commercial places, malls, hotels etc. to prevent space shortage.Item Design of welding fixture for rectangular frame(AIKTC, 2017-05) Gandhi, Asif; Gautam, Vinay (12ME13); Inamdar, Affan (12ME18); Hammad, Tarique (12ME16); Shaikh, Najib (12ME55)This project is to design and a welding fixture for rectangular frame. Rehan (16DME163); Mullaji, Daniyal (16DME164); Sandhi, Taha (16DME167); Shaikh, Watique (16DME179); Gandhi, AsifProcess Planning is the technique of setting a sequence of operations for converting the raw material into finished product. In this paper, method of manual process planning has been described briefly and the focus is kept on the Batch Production. In small scale and medium scale industries, this technique of process planning is not implemented. A case study of aerospace parts manufacturing company has been discussed. This paper recommends the necessary action related with process planning which should be taken by the company. The sequence of operations performed there depends on the skills of the worker, availability of machines and time available which has nothing to do with the proper utilization of facility available. With the prior knowledge of Process Planning in production and various of its relative factors like machining, management of idle time of machines and cost estimation can be done effectively. By giving keen attention on the selection of machining facility, tools and jigs and fixtures, complex operations are carried out efficiently. This paper also discusses about the perfect utilization of available facility and provides recommendations for reducing the unnecessary time involved in setup time.Item Improvement project of a small scale company making metal products on power press machine(AIKTC, 2017-05) Gandhi, Asif; Shaikh, Owais (11ME55); Shaikh, Roshani (11ME03); Vishwakarma, Avinash (13ME61); Shaikh, Umair (12ME07)Item Improvement project of a small scale company making metal products on power press machine(AIKTC, 2017-05) Gandhi, Asif; Shaikh, Owais (11ME55); Shaikh, Roshani (11ME03); Vishwakarma, Avinash (13ME61); Shaikh, Umair (12ME07)Item Industrial engineering and management(AIKTC, 2019) Gandhi, AsifItem Optimization of plant layout(AIKTC, 2015-05) Gandhi, Asif; Khan, Asif (11ME27); Kutiyanawala, Hatim (11ME35); Mistry, Mohammed (11ME38); Parkar, Saalim (11ME41); Ansari, ZakirThe objective of this project is to study plant layout of Pratap Re-Rollers and based on the systematic layout planning method, design a new layout for increased productivity and reduction in material handling. Johnson's algorithm is used to make this happen and reveal the optimal sequence among the different possible sequences. During this process the obtain data is firstly solved it with conventional methods and then it is been calibrated with Johnson’s Algorithm. By applying various sequences, we concluded which will be the best sequence to perform the work. This sequence will lead to minimize ideal time between two machine and can increase the no jobs to be repaired increase in no jobs will lead to maximum profit The results indicate that if the company would follow the optimal sequence of jobs to get processed then they would lead to earning more profit rather than following the bad sequence. This paper is based on the company that is used to repair different sizes of motors but which sequence they would follow that deals in this paper to obtain more profit on a real- time basis. This is a reviewed type paper where the use of Johnson's algorithm is introduced and shows the benefits of using optimal sequence.Item Solar operating heating and cooling system(AIKTC, 2016-05) Gandhi, Asif; Rahmani, Sidique (12ME43); Waghoo, Usama (13ME141); Bheri, Khalid (13ME128); Shaikh, Adnan (12ME49)The purpose of this project is been to investigate the possibility of heating and cooling air by connecting Peltier Elements to a PV panel. The idea was initiated by Energiteknik i Teckomatorp AB, a company that provides heat pumps and coolers to small scale businesses and private customers. In the recent years, we all are facing electricity crisis. It’s time to harness the renewable energy resources of the nature. Our project utilizes the solar energy to run a heating and cooling system. In this project we have fabricated a thermoelectric system using solar energy. It is an eco-friendly project, made by using thermoelectric module. The project supports both heating and cooling. The project has various applications like, military or aerospace, medical and pharmaceutical equipment etc. Thus it proves to be very helpful. This will be a suitable & affordable system for the people living in remote part of India where load-shading is a major problem. The major difference between the existing system & our system is that, our project works without use of mechanical device & without refrigerant too. As the module is compact in size one can design (i.e. shape, capacity) the system according to his requirement. In this paper an attempt has been made to conduct an experimental study on small scale solar operated thermoelectric Heating & Cooling system.Item Use of forecasting for inventory management in subhams gear, Khairne(AIKTC, 2020-05) Gandhi, Asif; Nachan, Sahrish Sahir (17DME133); Shaikh, Mohd Ismail Md. (16ME74); Shaikh, Sohaib Md. Yasin (16ME86); Yadav, Mohit Chandraprakash (16ME93)This synopsis discusses the “SALES FORECASTING IN SUBHAM GEAR”. Companies can base their forecasts on past sales data, industry-wide comparisons, and economic trends. Forecasting techniques are used for making relatively short term decisions in this is Quantitative Method. The quantitative method is further divided into Time series analysis method. However the time series analysis method is further classified into Moving Average Method, Exponential Smoothing Method, Least Square Method, etc. For sales forecasting three methods are used i.e. Moving Average Method, Exponential Smoothing Method, Least Square Method to forecast for the year 2019 by using previous data from 2018 to 2019.In order to ensure the accuracy of the forecast methods used, forecast accuracy can be found by using forecast error methods are used which are mention in this synopsis. KEYWORDS: Sales forecasting, Quantitative Method, Moving Average Method, Exponential Smoothing Method, Forecasting Error.Item Walker+wheelchair+stretcher(AIKTC, 2021-05) Hirani, Aslam; Gandhi, Asif; Shaikh, Asadullah (16ME66); Shaikh, Shafiullah (16ME85); Siddiqui, Zulfikar (16ME88); Thapa, Chetman (16ME90)A walker is a walking aid used by people who have difficulty walking around without any support and wheelchair is a mobility device which has wheels on chair mostly used by people who are unable to walk even with the help of walking aids. Over the years many attempts have been made to unify this and this is our attempt in unifying them with an added advantage of it being able to convert into stretcher. And by doing so reduce the cost of buying multiple walking aids and provide an emergency backup long after the products usage/life cycle is completed. The goal of this design project was to create a single product that can replace 3 different products which are use for similar problems at varying degree of the users condition. The 3 different products here are – walker, wheelchair & stretcher. Walker and wheelchair are both walking aids for people who are partially or completely unable to walk. It is walker that can be converted into a wheelchair so that the handicap person can use it however he likes or however the situation demaands it. The best part is that it is very flexible in terms of how you can assemble it. It can be converted into wheelchair if the user wants to travel in a wheelchair or just a regular chair if he/she is tired of using the walker and is just looking for some rest.
