Native metals have been formed technological and shaped 7000 years ago. Press working industry utilize million on man, production tool, forming processes, building and other related facilities, in order to form and produce the material to meet the increased demand of mankind. The high productivity of forming process, the simplicity of press operation, all leads to greater extension of this method manufacturing. Of course, the many alternative processes require the complementary tooling, while in the metal forming dies or press tools the trouble has often been traced to an adequate grasp of the basis of design construction. Press tools and metal forming processes in which they are used in an inadequate grasp on the basis of design and construction are greatly improved of lathe both in design and in regards to capacity. Press working may be defined as the chip less mfg. process by which various components are made from sheet metal. These process is also termed as cold stamping. The machine used for press working is called press. The sheet metal operation done on press be grouped into two categories : i ) Cutting Operation and ii ) Forming Operation. In cutting operation, the w/p is stressed beyond it’s ultimate strength. The stresses caused in metal by the applied force will be shearing stress. In forming operation, the stresses are below the ultimate strength of the metal. In this operation, there is no cutting of the metal but only the contour of the w/p is changed to get the desired product. But for achieving this milestone humans need to control pollution which is increasing day by day in our surrounding and making our environment bad impacted and a worst place to live in. Among many forms of pollution aroused due to human desires for a luxurious lifestyle, there is water pollution which affects us in many ways. Specifically, the choking of drainage and blocking of drainage due to stuffs which were of no use to humans after getting unwrapped or undressed, are mostly creating distraction in flow of drainage water easily and getting eliminated at its planned end. Some of the stuffs which blocks the drainage are plastic bottles, milk packets, chips and biscuits packets and also many more in the list which are similar to them and also heavier for water to take them with the flow as they gather at some end and blocks the gutter. This choking basically give rise to people residing nearby and also many of the trespassers get badly affected by the chokings and blocking of drainages. These blocking of drainages become main source of flood to enter cities from sea shore easily as they didn’t get room to flow from underground pipes. Those pipes were initially blocked by the plastic wastes and stuffs people throw in the gutters. The flood water which gets rises during flood will now directly enter to residential areas and can enter in houses of people living in low lying areas. Sometimes the water from the gutters come out on the roads and streets and also on the foot paths sometimes which becomes hurdle for people to pass by. To get rid of this problem and to get a cleaner and way smoother drainage, the design of drainage sewage cleaner machine has been done. Some of the modification for making this machine automated are also done to minimize human interaction with the machine which will consequently protect humans from diseases and gases from the gutters.Item Design of HVAC system for basement of AIKTC(AIKTC, 2016-05) Ghazi, Altamash; Ansari, Rizwan Ahmed Iqbal Husain (13ME126); Mukadam, Awez Yaseen (13ME132); Shaikh, Rubel Mohammed Amin (12ME56)HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air conditioning) is technology of indoor and vehicular comfort. Hence our aim is to strengthen the gear which is a key element of gear box. At Dynatech Engineering. Co. Ltd. due to catastrophic failure of gear teeth, the problem of gear teeth deformation occurred. Dynatech Engineering Co. needed to suggest appropriate gear material by considering its strength, cost, hardenability and machinability, due to past history of gear teeth failures. The materials utilized for pinion and gear are EN24 and EN8 respectively. The material properties and costing of pinion and gear material were studied, and standard gear materials were identified from PSG Design Data Book. The material sorting is done on the basis of availability, cost and strength of the material. We studied different material selection methods like Weighted Point Method, TOPSIS, COPRAS, ELECTRA and VIKOR Method etc. From these methods Weighted Point Method (WPM) is selected for material selection and its result validated by TOPSIS Method and COPRAS Method. The material is selected by studying above method. On that material we did the finite element analysis and we also did analysis on currently used material in Dynatech Engineering co. The input parameter required for analysis provided by company such as module, teeth on pinion and gear, operating temperature and torque on which it is operating etc. The analysis is done by using the software ANSYS 15.0. From the result of it is concluded that the selected material have less deformation and stress during the operation at the top of the teeth as compare to the existing material.Item Self Balancing Stretcher Bed(AIKTC, 2021-05) Ghazi, Altamash; Shaikh, Abdul Rauf Mohammad Ismail (17ME86); Sayed, Jainul Abdin Sartaj Ali (17ME77); Fahad, Sabir Raees (17ME68); Dhokle, Mohammed Ausaf ayub (15ME72)This project presents a development of self-balancing platform mechanism using ATMEGA microcontroller. The software has been written with logic to convert the digital data with the help of MPU6050 . The magnitude is then compared to a predetermined. Mathematical function to infer the angle of tilt of the platform. The angle of tilt is then converted to angle of rotation for the servos to act on.Item Street light solar panel cleaner(AIKTC, 2020-05) Ghazi, Altamash; Shaikh, Abdul Kalam (16ME65); Shaikh, Abdul Rahim (16ME67); Shaikh, Altamash (16ME69); Shaikh, Shadab Latif (16ME84)Energy is one of the major issues that the world is facing in India, the supply of energy has been one of the major problems for both urban and rural households. About 60% to 70% of the energy demand of the country is met by fuelwood and agriculture residues. Solar energy is a renewable source of energy, which has a great potential and it is radiated by the sun. Renewable energy is important to replace the using of electric energy generated by petroleum. Solar power has become a source of renewable energy and solar energy application should be enhanced. The solar PV modules are generally employed in dusty environments which are the case tropical countries like India. The dust gets accumulated on the front surface of the module and blocks the incident light from the sun. It reduces the power generation capacity of the module. The power output reduces as much as by 50% if the module is not cleaned for a month. The cleaning system has been designed cleans the module by controlling the Arduino programming. To remove the dust in the PV modules to improving the power efficiency.Item Study and implementation of 5S at Hitesh Mechanical Pvt. Huzaifa(15DME133); Sange, Ubaid(15DME137); Khan, Saif Ali(15DME131); Mansuri, Faizan; Moosa, Saim(15DME151); Ansari, Naveed(15DME140); Shaikh, Sohail(15DME156)The objective of this project is to develop a compact fluid mechanics lab to optimize the floor space along with performing almost all the requisite experiments which are part of Mumbai university syllabus. This project is proposed to overcome the difficulty faced by the students and staffs of mechanical & civil Engineering departments of Anjuman Islam‟s Kalsekar Technical Campus (AIKTC). As due to time constrain of exist fluid mechanics lab which should ideally run for 34 hours (5 days 7 hours) weekly have weekly load of around 48 hours (6 class 4 batches 2 hours/batch).Managing of this is a nightmare to time table co-ordinator of institute as well as students & staffs of both the departments. To overcome this there was an idea to make two fluid mechanics labs for both departments. But due to financial and space constrains of building it is impossible. So here we got the idea to design and develop a compact apparatus on which all requisite experiments can be performed, which can be accommodated in a tiny space in any available laboratory.
