Item Solid waste management of Badlapur(AIKTC, 2020-05) Nalband, Irfan; Kharbe, Zeeshan Bilal (16CE19); Khan, Zaki Alam (16CE18); Khan, Adil Shakil Ahmed (16CE05)Municipal solid waste (MSW) has become a serious environmental problem in major cites all over world. The problem of solid waste also infuencing the urban environmental of Badlapur. Therefore, the present study was under taken to enlist the causes of solid waste generaton and possibilites of associated problem. The study was mainly concentrated to investgate the present status of municipal solid waste management system (MSWM) in Badlapur city. In order to carry out the study detailed survey was carried out on existng facilites of solid waste management (SWM) such as man power resources and management system. A detailed study comprising the methods of practces associated with generated quantty of waste. Collecton, transportaton, treatment and disposal of (MSW) in Badlapur city was conducted. The relevant data was obtained from Badlapur municipal corporaton and individual field visit. The study reveals that are several lacunas in existng solid waste management system in Badlapur city on the basis of municipal solid waste (management and handling rules 2000).
