As a result two opposite force cancel each other and structure stops vibrating. Active vibration control makes use of smart structure and smart material. Smart materials and structures refers to structures that can assess their own health, perform self-repair or can make critical adjustments in their behavior as conditions change. The system mainly requires actuators, sensors, source of power and a compensator that performs well when vibration occurs.Item Auto-feed hydraulic machine(AIKTC, 2017-04) Meshram, Atul; Shaikh, Arshad (13ME44); Sayyed, Adnan (13ME41); Wasiullah, Nasibullah (13ME62)In industries, the heavy hydraulic cutting machines are used which are so costly and small industries can’t afford it. To reduce its cost we have designed the low cost hydraulic cutting machine by sacrificing the thickness of sheet metal cut. We also have reduce the effort of one skilled worker which is required for pulling the cutter handle to cut sheet metal and safety of operator is also considered in design by adding the sensor which detects hand if comes in the cutter then operation gets terminated.Item Design and analysis of floating head heat exchanger(AIKTC, 2022-05) Meshram, Atul; Rungla, Shaad Navid (19DME23); Khan, Fauwaz Afzal (19DME11); Khan, Safwan Moazzam (19DME17); Khan, Nisar Ahmed Aijaz Ahmed (18ME40)The oil and gas field deals with various processes such as refining, chemical mixings and blending, liquefaction, purification, storage of fluids and chemicals under stipulated pressure and temperature requires boilers, tubes and pipes, heat exchanger pressure vessels, etc. These have been a very important part of technical and technological systems such as chemical and reactive processes in Oil and gas field. This project work deals with a detailed Design and Analysis of Floating Head Heat Exchanger taken as a problem definition from client Al Hammra – U.A.E. A detailed design of various parts of vessels like shell, closure, 55 support, flanges, nozzles etc. Design is carried according to rules of ASME code section VIII; Division I. The ASME is an American Society of Mechanical Engineers that regulates the design and construction of boilers and pressure vessels. The BPVC is a standard that provides rules for the design, fabrication and inspection of boilers and pressure vessels. Code provides rules that permit the use of materials and alternative methods of construction that are not covered by existing BPVC rules. The analytical design as per client Al Hammra – U.A.E design data and general notes have been analyzed and validated using Software tools such as PV-elite, Compress or ANSYS, and detailed modelling using AutoCAD tool. It also deals with the study of various parts like flanges, support etc. Various methods of fabrication and testing such as LPT, RT, and Hydro Test are also included.Item Design and fabrication of 3 in 1 transforming wheelchair(AIKTC, 2016-05) Meshram, Atul; Yadav, Rohit (12ME69); Khan, Maksud (12ME29); Gupta, Shyamsunder (12ME14); Khan, Javed (12ME28)It is inevitable for any country to have people with disabilities, especially arthritis patients. The most commonly used devices for disabled people are wheelchairs. What’s more, the life quality of disabled people and patients has caught attention by society. Modernized wheelchair has become a popular engineering challenge for decades. We aimed to design a new mechanical system in wheelchair to help people stand up, sitting and lying down with help of single actuator. This mechanism should be safer, simpler in structure, less power consuming and more economic. The wheelchair which we are going to design may help people with disability to surge self-esteem; reach objects placed high, deliver speech on podium, sit & sleep with comfort. By the way, it’s boring for a person to sit for long time. If somebody wants to buy standing wheelchair, he or she do not need to buy a whole wheelchair, only buy four-bar mechanism structure, then install it to his or her own wheelchair with some adjusments and can achieve three positions . That wheelchair can achieve the same goal to stand up, sit and sleep. So it will make the wheelchair cheaper.Item Design and fabrication of three roll bending machine(AIKTC, 2019-05) Meshram, Atul; Siddiqui, Anas ( 13ME58); Ansari, Ezaz ( 16DME123); Khan, Salman ( 16DME151); Khan, Arman ( 16DME146)In present time, the motorized 3 roll bending machine is universal forming equipment for sheet plate into cylinder and curved sheet. It is widely used boiler, shipbuilding, petroleum, chemical, metal structure and machinery manufacturing industries. The aim of this project is to design a new motorized 3 roll sheet bending machine for industry, having latest feature like lowering top roll by single lever mechanism and providing input motion to both the lower roller to avoid the problem of slippage. The existing 3 roll sheet metal bending machine of industry is totally hand operated. The existing machine has many problem like slippage, accuracy and time required to make one cylinder is more than motorized machine. The demand of hand operated 3 roll sheet metal bending machine is low, so in order to survive the competition of market industry has given a task to make a motorized 3 roll bending machine.Item Machine design - I(AIKTC, 2019) Meshram, AtulItem Multi-evaporative air conditioning system(AIKTC, 2021) Meshram, Atul; Khan, Faisal (17ME30); Mulla, Mustaquim (17ME58); Khalifa, Hasnain (17ME17); Maknojia, Md Umar (17ME49)Air conditioning units or the air conditioners are used in everyday life to cool the air around us. They are a very common consumer electronic device. Inside the air conditioner, refrigeration of some special gases takes place to give out cool air, much like in refrigerators. The air condition uses the simple principle that while changing from liquid state to gaseous state, the substance gives out heat. To send out, cold air, the air conditioner has special substance which is used as a refrigerant. This substance is evaporated and condensed continuously to give out cool air. This process takes place in the closed condition inside the unit. There is a proper mechanism to pass the heat generated during this process out of the machine from the other end. In centralized air conditioners, there is a duct system to channel hot air away and keep the system from heating inside. The fan is also provided for the same reason. A compressor is also fitted inside the machine to convert the gas back to liquid. The compressor basically creates high pressure and converts the gas back to liquid so that the process continues and the temperature remains controlled. Thus, the refrigerant constantly maintains the indoor temperature and the inside temperature of the system is also controlled.Item Regulated thermoelectric organ storage container for aerial transport(AIKTC, 2021-05) Meshram, Atul; Bamne, Saqib Jamil (17ME09); Sayyad, Iltam Ilyas (17ME18); Khan, Faisal Aqil (17ME29); Malik, Ahetesab Ashab (17ME50)Organ transplantation has become one of the important aspects for one's life. Lungs, heart, pancreas, kidneys, liver, and intestine are among the organs that can be transplanted, and face and body transplants have recently become more common. The most prevalent type of organ transplant is kidney transplantation, which has a high success rate. While organ transplantation has become more prevalent in wealthy countries like the United States, the procedure remains complex, involving many delicate steps and needing a highly competent team of surgical experts. A battery of tests is used to determine the type of donor organ that is most suited to the recipient and to prevent organ transplant rejection. Matching of donor is the major part of organ transplantation. After matching of donor and receiver most of the time the receiver is not operated in the near areas so transportation becomes mandatory. and due to constraints, such as required temperature and lifespan of an organ outside the body, fast transportation is necessary. Aerial transportation such as from aeroplane is done if the distance is more, and the organ is taken by means of road if the distance is less. This transportation by road is very risky as traffic accidents can make it hard to reach the hospital in time. So aerial transport such as a drone is used. Drone can be used for aerial transport of the organ but it has some constraints such as limitation of weight. temperature inside the container should be maintained as per the requirement of the organ. In this project we intend to make such a container which is light weight, can regulate temperature, and can be easily carried. Regulated thermoelectric organ storage container for aerial transport was designed, analyzed, fabricated and experimented. 3d modelling and design was made in Fusion 360 and analysis was performed on Ansys workbench. The entire explanation is provided in the following report with figures of 3D models and results of various analyses.Item Roll bending machine with ratchet mechanism(AIKTC, 2020-05) Meshram, Atul; Memon, Talha (16ME44); Graham, Miranda (16ME46); Ranim, Shubham (16ME57); Salian, Hrithik (16ME58)Metal forming can be defined as a process in which the desired size and shapes are obtained through plastic deformation of a material without any significance loss of material. Bending is a metal forming process in which straight length is transformed into a curved length. Roller forming is a continuous bending operation in which a long strip of metal is passed through consecutive sets of rollers, until the desired cross sectional profile is obtained. The roller bending process usually produces larger parts of cylindrical or conical cross sections in large quantity. This project is to design and construct a portable roller bending machine. This machine is used to bend metal strips into curve and the other curvature shapes. The size of machine is very convenient for portable work. It is fully made by steel. Moreover, it is easy to be transported and use at any time and any place. It reduces human effort and also required less skill to operate this machine. We are designing manually operated roller bending machine with use of rollers, chain sprockets and support (frame). The roller bending machine is manually operated. Therefore, our objective is to increase accuracy at low prize without affecting the bending productivity. This machine works on simple kinematic system instead of complicated design. Due to its portability it can be used by small workshop or fabrication shop. In the three roller bending machine, the three rollers rotate. Bending can be done in both sheet metal and bars of metal. For designing a three roller bending machine, it is required to calculate the exact force for bending. Based on this force, the machine parameters and motor power are decided. Various factors that should be considered while calculating this force are material properties, width, and thickness, number of passes, bending radius, force developing mechanism and link.
