Item Blood cell monitoring based on FPGA, implemented using VHDL(Journal of Research in Engineering and Applied Sciences, 2017-10) Khan, Zarrarahmed; Pathan, Siraj; Pathan, Riyaz; Ali, Zeeshan; Khadase, Rahul; Alvi, RizwanThis paper showcases a system in the medical field which will assuage the limitations in today's blood cell monitoring since everything will be done digitally. Our work is a combination of image processing and its implementation in hardware. This system will not only store the information of patients' blood components, but it will also indicate the deficiencies using an Alert signal. Area wise storage of patients' information will help in Area Wise Analysis of data. This blood cell monitoring system is designed on Xilinx ISE 14.6 using VHDL and implemented on Spartan 3A based FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array). In medical camps it is very difficult to test blood samples of thousands of people with pharmaceutical techniques and at that time this Blood Cell monitoring system will give proper ease to test blood samples as it will require few microscopic pics only and image processing will be done at ultra-high speed since we are using the FPGA. FPGA will itself process images, store relevant data and display them in proper fashion.Item CNG/LPG gas accident prevention with GSM alert(AIKTC, 2017-05) Pathan, Siraj; Khan, Abdul (14DET68); Khan, Bilal (14DET81)Gas leakage is a major problem with industrial sector, residential premises and gas powered vehicles like CNG (compressed natural gas) buses, cars. Ahmed (11ET13); Khan, Umair (11ET28); Khan, Mehfooz (11ET24)In the daily operation of a bus system, the movement of vehicles is affected by uncertain conditions as the day progresses, such as traffic congestion, unexpected delays, and randomness in passenger demand, irregular vehicle dispatching times, and incidents. It often discourages the passengers for excessively waiting long time at bus stops and makes them reluctant to take the public transport, buses. In this project we propose a system by which we can predict bus arrival time using GPS and GSM technology. It is an embedded system using GPS (Global Positioning System), GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) and Arduino for tracking the bus. The real time co-ordinates obtained from the GPS will continuously monitor a moving vehicle and report the status of the vehicle on request to passengers. The GPS/GSM unit is mounted on the bus sends the data to the central monitoring system using the GSM module. The position i.e. Latitude and Longitude of a vehicle from remote place is sent by the GSM module to the Server and then the server calculates the arrival time of the bus and sends to the LCD Module mounted at bus stop through GSM module.Item Railway track crack detection(AIKTC, 2016-05) Pathan, Siraj; Shukla, Ramkrishna (12ET59); Tikekar, Sohail (12ET62)In the current railway systems, it is becoming even more necessary to have safety elements in order to avoid accidents. Over the past several decades, weather forecasting has been carried out using satellite, internet other sophisticated equipment. But, this may not be accessible in remote places like hilly regions deep seas. However, huge expenses, poor resolution of the images, and very low availability of useful information from them have always been among the top issues faced. Fine reception of these images and extraction of relevant information is easier said than done. This project aims to decrease the cost of imaging substantially, and greatly improve availability of such images. By making use of locally available raw materials, an antenna will be constructed and tested with good results that would receive fine APT signals from NOAA 15, 18, 19. Using sync pulses, the audio signals will be decoded into an image in WXtoIMG. Filtering, cross correlation and noise reduction are some of the steps that will be implemented to form the image. This system thus provides a comprehensive solution for receiving satellite images with a Software Defined Radio, an appropriate antenna and various application environments for decoding the audio signals into an intelligible image. It requires very less processing power thus making weather forecasting quite convenient for the common man. It is therefore a low cost and a homebrew elucidation of a technique that is otherwise regarded as quite sophisticated by space enthusiasts.Item Smart building and home mautomation based on voice and gestures(AIKTC, 2019-05) Pathan, Siraj; Khan, Faisal (15ET30); Sayyed, Abdul (15TE39); Khan, Saheer (15ET34); Khan, Navaid (15ET33)Voice Based Home Automation System using ESP8266 NodeMCU.
