Composting is known and easy process of organic waste management. It is a biological conversion self-heating, which generates desired end products such as substrates for cultivation of mushroom, bio-gas and fertilizers. The proper maintenance of temperature and humidity in pulverized organic waste will increase the process of bio-degradation. The study is done to evaluate the performance of compost machine. The proper management of temperature and humidity is important. The aim is to decrease unscientific land filling, segregation of waste and to increase quality of compost or manure.Item Digitization of glass tube rotameter (GTR)(AIKTC, 2020-05) Qureshi, Arshad; Sayyed, Asif Akbar (16ME64); Shaikh, Faizan Sadique (16ME71); Shaikh, Mohd Akbar Abdullah (17DME148); Shaikh, Mohd Faizan Mohd Faheem (17DME149)Measurement of flow rate is an essential requirement of process Industry. There are many methods which are employed for flow measurement based on the requirements. The most commonly used device for low viscosity, transparent fluids are Glass Tube Rotameter (GTR). The principle of operation for a GTR is based on the mechanical force balance between the weight of the float and the magnitude of flow rate. The current work aims at converting the GTR into a digital device using the halleffct sensor (turbine flow meter). halleffect sensor will be connected at the inlet of the rotameter & its reading will be calibrated according to the rotameter reading. Hall effect flow sensor consists of a plastic valve from which water can pass. A water rotor along with a hall effect sensor is present the sense and measure the water flow. When water flows through the valve it rotates the rotor. By this, the change can be observed in the speed of the motor. This change is calculated as output as a pulse signal by the hall effect sensor. Thus, the rate of flow of water can be measured. The output reading of halleffect sensor will be shown at lcd display.Item Hoverbike; Design, analysis and prototype(AIKTC, 2021-05) Qureshi, Arshad; Patel, Labeed (17ME64); Saifi, Nishad (17ME74); Shaikh, Zainuddin (17ME98); Solkar, Umair (17ME100)In this report we discussed about the beautiful concept of automobiles called Hover bike. It is the combination of two automobiles of motorcycle and helicopter. It is a compact vehicle with a simple design which can be able to use both transportation medium- Airways and roadways. It can run on roadways as a bike and can hover itself in air like a helicopter in unsuitable medium for a bike. The report presents an idea of the hoverbike in bicopter mode through the basis of a prototype. Thrust vectoring is done by the special design and technique so that it can fly or move in all direction , it can take-off vertically from the ground or at any height , it doesn’t need any run way. The functional process of the prototype is determined and is explained through this report. The flight time and other parameters are evaluated KEYWORDS . Hoverbike, Bicopter, Battery, Motor, Propeller, etc.Item Improvement in spooling of wire rope(AIKTC, 2018-05) Qureshi, Arshad; Shaikh, Ahamed Rajjab(14ME01); Shah, Mohd.Arif(14ME45); Shaikh, Haris(14ME47); Shaikh, Naeem A.(14ME51)Wire rope contents dozens–even hundreds of individual wires which are formed and fabricated to move or operate at close tolerances to one another. When a wire rope bends, each of its many wires slides and adjusts to accommodate the differences in length between the inside and outside of the bend. The sharper the bend, the greater the movement this creates wrong spooling of wire rope. Ever since the development of wire rope, comprising multiple wire strands, spooling the wire has presented technical challenges. When wrapped in multiple layers, the upper layers have a tendency to crush the lower layers, while the lower layers have a tendency to pinch upper layers. The rubbing of rope against rope also has a tendency to cause wear. This paper analysis the parameters related to the spooling of wire rope like fleet angle, tension etc. This paper also presents design and analysis of rack and pinion mechanism for wire rope spooling process. For this we designed different conceptual models and analyzed them under maximum loading condition. After comparing the results best design is selected and it will be found easily possible for manufacturing and operating.Item Introduction to mechatronics(AIKTC, 2019) Qureshi, ArshadMechatronics is synergistic integration of mechanical engineering, electronics and intelligent computer control in design and manufacture of products and processes.Item Literature review on optimization of cutting parameters for surface roughness in turning process(International Journal of Engineering Research and Development, 2015-05) Qureshi, ArshadThis paper reviews the optimization of cutting parameters for surface roughness in the turning process. Surface roughness is one of the most commonly used criteria to determine quality of a turned surface. The surface roughness of a turned surface is an important response parameter. Surface roughness contributes to better function or longer life span. It also contributes to abrasion resistance material and good wear resistance. Taguchi method is a powerful tool to design optimization for quality. It is used to find the optimal cutting parameters such as cutting speed, feed rate, depth of cut and nose radius as the overall cost can be reduced. This paper gives some background of optimization technique applied to various turning processes for improving surface roughness.Item Optimization of Cutting parameters for Surface roughness in CNC turning of P20 steel(International Journal of Scientific & Engineering Research, 2015-12) Qureshi, ArshadThe surface roughness is one of the most commonly used criteria to determine the quality of turned steel. The surface roughness of a turned surface is an important response parameter. The quality of product such as laptops, cell phones made by injection moulding greatly depends on finishing of the moulds. Surface roughness is one of the important factors for the materials used for making moulds and dies such as P20 steel. This paper optimize the cutting parameters such as feed rate, depth of cut and cutting speed for the turning process of AISI P20 steel (mould steel) for better surface finish. Taguchi’s technique has been used to accomplish the objective of the experimental study. L-9 Orthogonal array, Signal to noise (S/N) have been used for conducting the experiments.Item Optimization of parameters of surface roughness and MRR for p20 steel in end milling(AIKTC, 2017-04) Qureshi, Arshad; Hashmi, Gilman; Momin, Mubasshir; Sayyed, Saif AliMetal cutting is widely used manufacturing process in the industries. The metal cutting studies focus on features of tools and machine parameters which affects the process and output quality characteristics. High speed machining technologies and use of modern machine tools enables the improvement of surface roughness by accurate displacement of tool and good surface finish of the machined surface. Manufacturers who are competing in the market want their product to be manufactured at less cost. The setup for machining a component should be effective which takes less time and effort. Optimization of cutting parameters such as cutting speed feed rate and depth of cut gives better surface finish, takes minimum time and produces less tool wear. Milling can be done on milling machine or by using CNC (computer numerical control) machine.
