IoT approached based intrusion detection using Raspberry PI
(AIKTC, 2018-05) Syed, Zeeshan Ali; Momin, Akibrja S [14DET52]
Recently security concerns have grown tremendously, it is important for all to be able to safeguard their property from worldly harms such as thefts, destruc- tion of property etc. As the technology is widely growing in modern world, the methodologies used by thieves and robbers are also equally improved in stealing. Therefore, it is necessary for the surveillance techniques also to be improved with the changing world. The latest technologies used against theft and destruction are the video surveillance and monitoring. Even when needed, having a security camera system may sometimes be impossible due to the ex- pensive cost for installation. Raspberry pi is credit card sized computer that has the capability to be- come a camera security system when its own camera board is used. A new methodology has been developed to detect the motion. Pyroelectric infrared (PIR) sensors are used instead of any algorithm for motion detection. When- ever the motion is detected through PIR sensor inside the room, the image is captured through camera and temporarily stored in the raspberry pi module. After motion is detected user gets push up message on android without any delay and here python script is also used which directs the pi to send email noti cations everytime motion is detected With these components, a cost ef- fective, low power and e cient security camera system is made. Therefore, advantages like these, makes this application ideal for monitoring in prevented or secured areas.

RFID Based Smart Shopping and Billing
(International Journal of Advanced Research in Computer and Communication Engineering, 2013-12) Syed, Zeeshan Ali
The advent of wireless technology along with other communication techniques has helped in making electronic commerce very popular. A modern forward looking product is the one that aids the comfort, convenience and efficiency in everyday life. In this paper, we discuss an innovative concept of RFID Based Smart Shopping and Billing. The key idea here is to assist a person in everyday shopping in terms of reduced time spent while purchasing a product. The main goal is to provide a technology oriented, low-cost, easily scalable, and rugged system for aiding shopping in person. The developed system comprises of Cart location detection unit (CLDU), Server Communication unit (SCU), User Interface and display unit (UIDU) and Billing and Inventory management unit (BIMU). CLDU is used to smartly locate the position of shopping cart inside the shopping market to help in obtaining relevant product information. SCU will help in establishing and maintaining the connection of the shopping cart with the main server. UIDU will provide the customer with user interface and BIMU deals with the billing and inventory management in collaboration with the SCU. These units are integrated into a smart enclosed system and are tested to satisfy the functionality. The smart shopping cart will help shorten the checkout lines thereby helping the customers at retail stores. The customers will be able to scan the items themselves and the LCD screen on the shopping cart will keep updating the total. This will turn out to be very beneficial for the retail stores as more people will enjoy the shopping experience and come more often to shop.

RFID based Smart Shopping: An Overview
(IEEE: International Conference On Advances in Communication and Computing Technologies (ICACACT), 2014-08-10) Syed, Zeeshan Ali
Electronic Commerce has become extremely popular with the rise in wireless technologies and other communication techniques. Purchasing and shopping at big malls is becoming daily activity in metro cities. There is a huge rush in such places during weekends and holidays. People purchase different items and put them in trolley. After completion of purchases, one needs to go to billing counter for payments. At the billing counter the cashier prepares the bill using bar code reader which is very time consuming process and results in long queue at the billing counter. A smart product is the one that aids the comfort, convenience and efficiency in everyday life. In this paper, we discuss an innovative concept of Intelligent Smart Shopping and Billing. The key idea here is to assist a person in everyday shopping in terms of reduced time spent while purchasing a product. The main goal is to provide a technology oriented, economical, easily scalable, and rugged system for aiding shopping in person.

Smart bus boarding system for visually impaired passengers
(AIKTC, 2017-05) Syed, Zeeshan Ali; Shaikh, Shah Hussain (14DET62); Shaikh, Nizamuddin (14DET60); Khan, Arif (14DET51)
There are 161 million people visually impaired out of 6.7billion people in the world. Each visually impaired individual faces different challenges based on their specific level of vision. With the rise of various support-based organizations, more visually impaired people have been given the opportunity to education and many other means. But still the issues of navigation for the blind are very complex and troublesome especially when they walked down in street and also navigate to distant places by public transport system. In this project we propose a Passenger bus boarding system using wireless networks . The visually impaired passengers are provided with a RFID tag which containes the information of the passenger and also its destination information. The Bus stops containes RFID reader and a RF module of 2.4 GHz frequency along with their master controller installed in the sits of the stop. The RFID reader will recognize the Visually impaired passenger by his RFID tag and forwards its destination information to the microcontroller, which will process the information and waits for the bus arriving signal from the RF module. When the bus, that also contains one RF module with its microcontroller comes into the range of bus stop, the RF module at the bus stop will recognize the bus no. and forwards it to the microcontroller. The microller will compare the data of the bus no and passenger’s destination and generate the alert signal accordingly to the voice module, by getting the voice alert the Passenger will know that their bus has arrived or not. The driver at the bus will also get notification of the Visually impaired Passenger through LCD installed in the Bus unit.

Smart irrigation system using weather forecast with using wireless sensor network for monitoring soil parameters
(AIKTC, 2018-05) Syed, Zeeshan Ali; Kazi, Simran (15DET61); Memon, Moin (15DET65); Mujawar, Arfat (15DET107); Abu, Talha (15DET49)
This project deals with enhanced water conservation using weather forecast which collects data from a web page about the rain prediction and then accordingly adjusts and delays the irrigation cycle .It also consist of WSN which monitors soil parameters like humidity, temperature, etc, which communicates with the coordinator ,using ZigBee protocol, which then sends updates to the farmer via SMS using GSM protocol. .Based upon the sensors value from the eld and rainfall forecast obtained from the internet, irrigation cycle of crop is modi ed..Hence ,we will develop an experimental setup to implement the proposed idea which can be easily and e ectively extended to actual crop eld. Ultimately ,this reduces the fresh water consumption and irrigation costs by maximizing the crop yields.

Smart shopping trolley using RFID and Zigbee
(AIKTC, 2017-05) Syed, Zeeshan Ali; Khatib, Muhammad Ibrahim (14DET90); Sayyed, Shoeb (14DET57); Tungekar, Md. Ali (14DET63); Tungekar, Mueez (14DET64)
A shopping trolley is supplied by a shop, especially supermarkets, for use by the customers inside the shop for transport of merchandise between the isles of a supermarket to the check-out counter during the period of shopping. Generally customers collect the merchandise they need in the trolley and reach up to billing counter for bills. At the counter usually there is long queue in which the customer wasts a lot of precious time At that moment they realize that the merchandise they purchased is over budget. So they reduce the merchandise until the cost is in their budget.
