| dc.description.abstract | This dissertation aims to encourage Olympic-level sports in Maharashtra's Konkan division by exploring the connection between the importance of physical activity, social interaction, cultural identity, and the need for better sports facilities in the region. It's part of a larger project called "Promotion of Regional Sports Complex for Maharashtra's Konkan Division," which aims to improve sports through facility design. The research looks at the lack of world-class sports facilities in Maharashtra and how it affects athletes who have to travel to other states for training. There are two main goals in this study. First, it will highlight the shortcomings in sports infrastructure in Maharashtra and propose solutions to address them. Second, it seeks to raise awareness among the current generation about Indian international sports and their significance, encouraging them to participate in real sports rather than just playing video games. The research also explores potential future sports venues with the aim of promoting and preserving international-level Indian sports and ensuring they don't fade away in today's society. The initiative combines research, innovative solutions, and design to protect, sustain, and promote India's sports.
