When a structure is subjected to large amount of lateral load, incline piles are used. Incline piles convert overturning moment into compression and tension forces. Little literature is available about the behaviour of batter piles in group. In present study tests were conducted on inclined pile groups under lateral load with batter pile inclined at 20º, 30º, 40º, 50 ºand 60º. Further as batter angle increases from 60º to 50º pile capacity increases. The uplift capacity of pile with inclined uplift load was observed that the uplift capacity of pile depends upon inclination of pile and load. The uplift capacity of pile varies with inclination of pile angle. The uplift capacity also varies with inclination of load. The uplift capacity increases with increase in length of pile. The uplift capacity of pile depends upon the L/d ratio.en_US
