dc.description.abstractA small scale industry plays an important role in Indian economy. In an organization the prime importance is given to the quality and productivity. Since a problem come across due to the defects in materials, down time in production, working conditions, housekeeping etc. This case study deals with the 5S implementation in an industry, Implementation of 5S can result in considerable improvements in environmental performance beside with improved housekeeping and health and safety.[5]5S can improve the quality, productivity and working conditions in organizations.en_US
