Characterization of iron rich groundwater and assessment of physico-chemical treatment incorporating moringa oliefera seeds coagulant

Abstract
There is increasing interest in developing low cost water and wastewater treatment processes particularly in poor country. The use of natural coagulant such as Moringa oleifera to replace expensive Synthetic coagulant is particularly appropriate for agro based developing countries local production of this coagulant also contribute to rural and national economy. There is also recognition of presence of heavy metal such as iron, lead and cadmium in water which is hazardous to the environment and human health and their discharge into the surface water is a worldwide concern. With the help of Moringa oleifera Seeds Coagulant we are trying to remove the maximum concentration of iron content from water. After further studies and analysis we will determine the optimum dosage of Moringa oleifera required for the removal of iron content from water.
