Item Exploring correlations in components of green supply chain practices and green supply chain performance(Emerald Group Publishing Limited, 2016) Gandhi, AsifPurpose The purpose of this paper is to explore the peer-reviewed literature, as well as literature written by practitioners having authority on green supply chains and allied areas with a view to identify future research directions with the help of an extensive literature review. Design/methodology/approach In line with this objective, the constructs “Green Supply Chain Practices” and “Green Supply Chain Performance” were the two terms that were identified for a co-relational study. Findings As indicated by the literature review, there is a need to do a more detailed study that can pinpoint particular components of green supply chain practices that have a strong association with particular components of green supply chain performance. This paper attempts to achieve the aim by using a different connotation of these two constructs. Originality/value Such a study with the connotation and components of green supply chain (GSC) practices and GSC performance as identified and used in this paper might not have been conducted before in the way it is proposed to be used in this paper, thus making this an appropriate contribution. Accordingly, a framework for the research has been depicted, and research questions have been framed.Item Implementation of manual process planning methodology for production(Journal of Emerging Technologies and Innovative Research (JETIR), 2019-03) Mulla, Md. Rehan (16DME163); Mullaji, Daniyal (16DME164); Sandhi, Taha (16DME167); Shaikh, Watique (16DME179); Gandhi, AsifProcess Planning is the technique of setting a sequence of operations for converting the raw material into finished product. In this paper, method of manual process planning has been described briefly and the focus is kept on the Batch Production. In small scale and medium scale industries, this technique of process planning is not implemented. A case study of aerospace parts manufacturing company has been discussed. This paper recommends the necessary action related with process planning which should be taken by the company. The sequence of operations performed there depends on the skills of the worker, availability of machines and time available which has nothing to do with the proper utilization of facility available. With the prior knowledge of Process Planning in production and various of its relative factors like machining, management of idle time of machines and cost estimation can be done effectively. By giving keen attention on the selection of machining facility, tools and jigs and fixtures, complex operations are carried out efficiently. This paper also discusses about the perfect utilization of available facility and provides recommendations for reducing the unnecessary time involved in setup time.Item Review of Research Methodologies Linking Green Supply Chain Practices and Green Supply Chain Performance(International Journal of Supply Chain Management, 2014-12) Gandhi, AsifThe objective of this paper is to explore the peerreviewed literature on green supply chain practices and green supply chain performance with the intention of characterizing the research methodologies used in these areas of research. In line with this objective, the constructs “Green Supply Chain Practices” and “Green Supply Chain Performance” were identified. As indicated by the literature already published there seems to be certain set of methodologies which have mostly been used and that too frequently. Accordingly, there is a need to do a more detailed study that can pinpoint particular research methodologies that are usually used in research related to green supply chain practices and green supply chain performance. This paper attempts to achieve the aim by using a keyword search for identifying papers related to green supply chain practices and green supply chain performance. Finally the methodologies used are summarized in order of their usage in order to characterize the research methodologies used in linking green supply chain practices and green supply chain performance. This will help newer research work to flow in the right direction without reinventing the wheel and also it will act as a ready reference for newer research work to practicing managers.
