Item Automatic segregation and supervision of waste material using Industrial control devices(AIKTC, 2020-05) Fakih, Awab; Khan, Salman (17DET46); Shaikh, Faraz (17DET62); Khan, Athar (17DET43); Ansari, Afwan (17DET40)Lifestyle has become the biggest leisure of today’s world and with growing lifestyle and ways of Living the amount of waste generated also goes high.To overcome today’s mans needs var- ious echnology and industrial setups have been made up.These industrial setups release huge amount of waste.Homes and other man habits also have equal contribution in increasing the waste content in this world. Now the question arises that what should be done for this?should it just be dumped somewhere or used again?as we know there is no waste that can be used again, once already usedItem Cell Phone Operated Robotic Car(2014) Fakih, AwabConventionally, wireless-controlled robots use RF circuits, which have the drawbacks of limited working range, limited frequency range and limited control. Use of a mobile phone for robotic control can overcome these limitations. It provides the advantages of robust control, working range as large as the coverage area of the service provider, no interference with other controllers and up to twelve controls. Although the appearance and capabilities of robots vary vastly, all robots share the features of a mechanical, movable structure under some form of control. The control of robot involves three distinct phase namely perception, processing and action. Generally, the preceptors are sensors mounted on the robot, processing is done by the on-board microcontroller or processor, and the task (action) is performed using motors or with some other actuators. Index Terms— Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF), radio control, remote control vehicle, Touch-Tone, Perception, Flash OverrideItem Design and Analysis of a Broadband Monopolar Patch Antenna(IEEE International Conference, 2014-05) Fakih, AwabA new low profile and broadband monopolar patch antenna is proposed. Previously, long rectangular patch antennas were proposed that had a compact structure and high gain, but these antennas were designed for broadside radiation. There are some patch antennas that achieve wide bandwidth by employing a thicker substrate. However, its profile may not be low enough for some cases that cover a very low profile space. We propose a low profile patch antenna with wide bandwidth, high gain and monopole like radiation pattern. The proposed antenna has a bandwidth of 9.4% and gain of 7 dBi with monopole like radiation pattern for an infinite ground plane. While for a finite ground plane bandwidth of 12.3% and gain of 5 dBi is obtained. Keywords- Excitation mode; low profile; monopolar patch antenna; coplanar waveguide fed (CPW); omnidirectional; Method of Moments (MoM).Item DWDM Link with Multiple Backward Pumped Raman Amplification(International Journal of Computational Engineering Research, 2013) Fakih, AwabFaced with the challenge of dramatically increasing capacity while constraining costs, carriers have two options either to install new fiber or increase the effective bandwidth of existing fiber. The technology of dense wavelength-division multiplexing (DWDM) has recently resulted in a considerable increase in the transmission capacity of fiber-optic communication systems up to several terabits per second. The further improvement of the transmission capacity of such systems can be achieved through the expansion of the spectral range of WDM transmission toward the short-wavelength region. Therefore in this report we have proposed and investigated the new trends and progress of fiber Raman amplification for dense wavelength division multiplexing photonic communication networks. Forty individual channels carrying PRBS data are transmitted over a 50 km length of ITU-T G.652 single mode dispersive fiber. The design objective is to utilize distributed Raman amplification to compensate for the link attenuation thereby effectively increasing the inter-EDFA span in a longer-haul link. KEYWORDS: PRBS, Digital Crossconnect System (DCS), phonons, Dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM), stimulated raman scattering (SRS), raman amplification, pump evolution, EDFA.Item Fingerprint based attendance system using IoT(AIKTC, 2017-05) Fakih, AwabThe human body has the privilege of having features that are unique and exclusive to each individual. This exclusivity* and unique characteristic has led to the field of biometrics and its application in ensuring security in various fields with various embedded controllers and embedded computers. Biometrics have gained popularity and has proved itself to be a reliable mode of ensuring privacy, maintaining security and identifying individuals. Biometrics is the study of identifying a person by their physical traits that are inherent and unique to only the person concerned. Biometric identification include fingerprint verification, palm geometry, face recognition, iris recognition, etc. Accuracy and reliability are the two most important parameters when it comes to biometric applications and that too with advanced embedded computers. Fingerprint verification is one of the oldest known biometric techniques known but still is the most widely used because of its simplicity and good levels of accuracy.Item Implementation of a solar power system with home automation(AIKTC, 2018-05) Fakih, Awab; Maniar, Saad (14ET29); Rais, Umar (14ET34); Naik, Ramjan (14ET32); Siddiqui, Hasan (13ET10)This book aims to cover all the topics that are relevant for getting an overview on the aspects of Solar Energy, with a focus on Photovoltaics, which allows the con- version of light energy or solar radiation into electrical energy, along with a brief introduction to Automation, with a focus on embedded devices such as Arduino, which is the technology that enables us to develop solutions for our automation needs. Unlike other systems, it does not require special instruments such as electronic pen or whiteboard. The captured video images are classified into pen strokes on the whiteboard, foreground (person in front of the whiteboard) and Whiteboard Background Model (whiteboard without the text). The newly written pen strokes are extracted from current image frame and updated to the Whiteboard Background Model. Whiteboard Balancing is done where the colour of the whiteboard is corrected and made completely white. The captured video is processed at 8 frames per second (fps) instead of 25 fps that is output from the camera. Whiteboard balancing and reducing the processing frame rate provide a reduced bandwidth when transmitting whiteboard contents to remote meeting participants. This system can be used in conjunction with other teleconferencing tools such as voice conference and application sharing to improve online meeting experience. Keywords: Whiteboard, real-time, luminance, pixels, archiving, foreground, bandwidth.Item Self-diagnostic medical chat-bot using artificial intelligence(AIKTC, 2020-05) Fakih, Awab; Ghare, Shifa Shakil (16ET02); Shaikh, Sabreen Mohd. The time has come when people not only use mobile phones and social media for entertainment, but also to work along. A lot of things have gone digital now and the representation of the same has taken a long turn towards variation. A no. of technologies have been introduced in the past years to make humans life easier. One such technology that has shown up is Artificial Intelligence [AI]. Having a vast area of work AI has proven a lot of things to be easier and also time and work friendly. When we speak about AI, we take up a domain of AI that is Chat-bot. conversational AI has been the upcoming market catcher. It has reduced many of human efforts which can be done without them. It has penetrated into large fields like marketing, consumer query solving and even medical. When such giant industries are considered there arises a question of how can an AI system help in these sectors. Well it comes to one single point that many a times customers make cold contact with the officials, be it a small query or large. They need someone to speak with them. To guide them on to path. In customer handling the main things that come up are weather the query is solved, customer satisfaction, lead generation and holding the customer for the near future. While these task had become hectic for man to note down everything and maintain a record of it. Chat-bot does this in minutes. In minutes to speak, is that it can handle a large no of people at a time once deployed to the sites. Less amount of time is consumed to get huge amount of data or leads as per requirement. Chat-bots can be placed in place of customer service executives to solve short queries and FAQ’s. BPO sector having an inbound process to do the same and just to give instructions on a particular product, this work can be done through a Chat-bot in minutes. Conversational AI becoming one of the booming sectors of today, the reason behind this is that it saves your manpower as well as money which is to be given to the employee. Time is precious so it gets reduced with the use of Chat-bot through engaging a large no. of customers at a time.
