Want a container! do it in no time.Item 3D Printer Integrated With Emerging Technologies(AIKTC, 2021-05) Motiwala, Nawaz; Akhtar, Tauqueer Ehsan (13ME123); Sayed, Umair Jaffar (17ME79); Kazi, Moazzam Mohammed Hanif (18DME14); Khan, Ali Ahmed Jalil Ahmed (18DME16)Industry 4.0 has boosted technological advancements at a very rapid pace and is becoming extremely difficult to keep up with it. 3D Printing, which is also a product of Industry Revolution 4.0 is also gaining rapid momentum in advancements. Such is also the same for the FDM Method on which most 3D Printers work. This project focuses on these enhancements in the traditionally available FDM based 3D Printer and its integration with Augmented Reality (AR) technology. The primary goal is to reduce the time taken to print an object, use of different material, and colors. Also the traditional 3D Printer faces the difficulty of Bed-Leveling[1]. Most 3D Printers available do not provide ease of use, are somewhat costly, less mobile and more complex in construction. Thus, the design, development and making of such a 3D Printer which will remove such impairments and implement a method of ‗Dual-Extruder‘ and Auto-Bed Leveling based FDM 3D Printer is discussed. Addition of another extruder and a sensor which can automatically level the bed solves the aforementioned problems of the 3D Printer. To provide ease of understanding and working of a 3D Printer, implementation of Marker-based AR Technology to depict the 3D Printer is implemented which is in compliance with Industry 4.0.[2] Additionally, emerging technologies such as ChatBot AI, Wireless Printing, Touch-based interaction system to make things easier for the user to understand and work out with the 3D Printer can also implemented. The following report contains a detailed explanation of the work done. The initial chapters discuss the need of this project, its history, available literature surveys carried out, available design and methods of 3D Printing. Next chapters deals with the depiction and explanation of a FDM based 3D Printer, its methodology, uses and its merits over other available methods. Further chapters deal with the components used, their specifications, designing procedure and fabrication. Finally the cost report, results and conclusion is stated in the remaining chapters.Item 5 Star hotel: A sustainable approach towards hotel designing(AIKTC, 2017-05) Parab, Sujit; Jadhav, Royal ((13ARC11)Tourism plays a very important role in development of city and it’s also a huge source of revenue for many countries. World Tourism Organization defines the word tourism as "traveling with staying in a particular place outside one’s own city or country for less than a year for recreation, business and other purposes". The Indian tourism and hospitality industry is top among the services sectors in India. It contributes 6.23% to the National GDP and 8.78% of the total employment in the country1. Constant revolution, functional success and upgrading standards have extended the hospitality industry of India approval all over the world. The industry is divided in two segments: • Tourism: The tourism sector includes medical and healthcare tourism, adventure tourism, heritage tourism, ecotourism, rural tourism, wildlife tourism and pilgrimage tourism. • Hotels: These include business hotels, resort hotels, airport, extended apartment hotels, resort hotels, timeshare hotels, casino hotels, convention centres and conference centres2. Accommodation plays a major role in a traveller’s overall experience of visiting a place. It is one of the premium part of traveller’s expenditure. Thus, hotel plays an important role in growth of tourism sector worldwide. lack of hotels near tourist destination or within a well-developed city can be the reason for failure of tourism industry E.g. “Dublin is among top International tourist destination worldwide & its anticipated to draw more tourist in coming 2020 but the lack of tourist accommodation is major problem which is leading to huge loss of Irish tourism Industry.”3 Navi-Mumbai which is Satellite town of Mumbai (Mumbai with Chennai comes under top 20 Asia specific destination spots4 & Mumbai is one of the top tourist destination all over world5) holds only 3 Five-Star hotel overall within the city & There are many proposals for Tourism development within Navi-Mumbai with upcoming International Airport which indeed will increase massive demands for quality accommodation once its functions. CIDCO (City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Limited) have FIVE STAR HOTEL 5 proposed 3 Five-Star hotels in Navi-Mumbai & at global scale HVS (Hospitality Valuation Services) proposed the need of 1,100 branded rooms for Navi-Mumbai. Hence, looking at many initiatives taken by Maharashtra Govt to increase Navi-Mumbai tourism by proposing developments like Belapur Marina (Including1.8KM water front with water sports), Nerul Jetti (At Nerul Sagar Sangam next to NRI Complex), Parsik Hills tourism (Hill zone between Rabale to Digha), Kharghar Central park (80 HA park), Navi-Mumbai Airport and few more upcoming developments under the way. It can be anticipated that being a satellite town of Mumbai (One of the top International Tourist destination), In the near future Navi-Mumbai will draw good amount of Domestic as well as International tourist. During that period all the 3 Five-Star hotels (total 329 rooms) won’t be able to accommodate that tourist demand. For sustainable and well-functioning of the proposed Tourism development projects, the anticipated tourist demand needed to be catered by providing quality desired accommodation. The predicted profit revenue through this proposed project can enhance the tourism as well as fund for more tourism and infrastructure development within the City.Item ABC analysis in corropack industries(AIKTC, 2020-05) Gandhi, Asif; Sahil, Shaikh (16ME83); Yadav, Nilesh (16ME94); Zardi, Mazharuddin (16ME95); Taragi, Mayur (16ME89)Established in the year 1983, 'Corropack Industries', are instrumental in manufacturing and supplying a wide range of quality corrugated rolls, corrugated boxes and corrugated packaging sheets in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. Therefore, in order to create a perfect inventory control system, various inventory items should be classified into the significant categories based on appropriate criteria and standards. Various models and methods have been so far presented to classify inventory among which, ABC analysis approach is one of the most common methods which is widely used for planning andt5 inventory control. Inventory classification based on ABC analysis allows the organization to classify its inventory into the significant categories. Generally, the above approach has been formed based on the Pareto Principle which is also known as “20-80” law. Regarding the organizations’ inventory, this principle will be expressed as follows: In the manufacturing organizations, there are only a few inventories which mostly contribute to the cost of the annual consumption of the organization’s inventory system and there are only anew inventories which a little contribute to the dollar value of the annual consumption of the inventory system. Given that the primary purpose of the inventory classification based on this approach is to create appropriate control levels for each inventory category, this question will be raised that whether the inventory classification based on single criterion ABC analysis will be able to meet all the needs of the organization’s inventory control system. As a result, the organizations can apply proper control policies by identifying the most effective criteria in their inventory classification. This study has also tried to present proposed ABC model for the hostel mess stores, in order to evaluate the inventory control system of the studied in that. For this purpose, first, the criteria affecting the evaluation of the inventory control system, classification of inventory and the priority of each One of the criteria in the studied mess stores and the priority of each one of the criteria in each inventory category (A, B, C) have been identified and model will be proposedItem AC track circuit(AIKTC, 2017-05) Bodhle, Gulrez; Shaikh, Aslam (12EE3); Ali, Mohd (13EE32); Kadri, Uzma (14DEE13)Track circuit is the fundamental method of train detection. The first track circuit, based on a DC technology, has been invented at the end of nineteenth. Over the years, the continuous technological development has enabled to realize track circuits in an increasingly performing way by using AC technology and modulations, but the basic principle for train detection is still the same. An alternative approach is the Axle Counter system, which uses a “check-in/check-out” logic. By comparing the result for the axles counted in a block section with the result for those counted out, it is possible to know the status of the track section (free or occupied).Item Accident alert and pothole detection system(AIKTC, 2018-05) Khan, Mubashir; Khan, Sarfaraz H (14CO42); Malim, Usama I (14CO34); Ansari, Mohd Junaid (15DCO44)India witnessed one of the highest road accidents in the world, as stated by Union road transport and highways ministry in 2016. Road accident often takes place due to bad road weather condition, reckless driving etc. Accident occurring are often not noticed or reported late that leads to loss of victim’s life or serious injuries caused permanently. One of the problems associated with bad road condition is the pothole on road. Accident Alert Pothole Detection System (AAPDS)is a system designed for reporting of accident and potholes on roads. The System consists of various sensors that are used for sensing accident’s and pothole’s on roads. A smartphone is used to provide exact location of accidents using GSM GPS module present in smartphone after the response from the sensor is taken. A map is provided to navigate the location of accident. Similarly a sensor is used for sensing pothole’s. This data is then processed by the processing module send to the smartphone, where the map is used to display the location of pothole’s. Further the collection of such data can be send to concern authorities where this kind of data is stored and managed for managing the road condition and providing prior warning of accident prone area.Item Accident alert system(AIKTC, 2021-05) Khan, Mubashir; Ansari, Mohd Aamir Mohd Sharif (17CO38); Nathani, Aamir Haneef (17CO39); Khan, Nazim Matiullah (17CO31); Ansari, Faisal (17DCO62)Nowadays, Driver drowsiness is one of the major cause for most of the accidents in the world. Detecting the driver eye tiredness is the easiest way for measuring the drowsiness of driver. The existing systems in the literature, are providing slightly less accurate results due to low clarity in images and videos, which may result due to variations in the camera positions. In order to solve this problem, a driver drowsiness detection system is proposed in this paper, which makes use of eye blink counts for detecting the drowsiness. Specifically, the proposed framework, continuously analyzes the eye movement of the driver and alerts the driver by activating the vibrator when he/she is drowsy. When the eyes are detected closed for too long time, a vibrator signal is generated to warn the driver. The experimental results of the proposed system, which is implemented on Open CV and Raspberry Pi environment with a single camera view, illustrate the good performance of the system in terms of accurate drowsiness detection results and thereby reduces the road accidents. Grid connected renewable energy source like wind energy system uses power electronics converters as an interfacing device between wind energy system and utility grid. These converters are commonly based on a voltage source inverter (VSI) connected to the supply network, operated to achieve objectives such as power flow regulation with unity power factor operation. However, intermittent nature of wind energy must be controlled to meet the grid requirements. The grid requirements include independent control of active & reactive power, improved power quality, grid synchronization and Good transient response during fault conditions etc. Usually voltage oriented control (VOC) of grid side converter in the synchronous reference frame was universally adapted for independent control of active and reactive power of the grid. However, the dynamic response during abnormal condition of grid is sluggish and poor power quality. In order to design controller for robust performance and to know the control characteristics, VSI needs to be accurately modelled. This project has taken an attempt to derive the small signal model of a single phase inverter in isolated mode and its performance with different controllers. Further, the work is extended to modelling of three phase grid connected VSI and its relevant transfer functions have been deduced from the model so as to analyse the system performance for designing a controller through well known bode plots. The studied system is modelled and simulated in the MATLAB-Simulink environment..Item Active power and frequency analysis of smart grid using simulink(AIKTC, 2016-05) Farade, Rizwan; Sayyed, Mohd. Ahmed (12EE04); Kadam, Amol (12EE17); Mishra, Sumeetkumar (12EE30); Utekar, Omkar (12EE63)In this project, a Smart Grid has been designed by MATLAB/SIMULINK approach for synchronization of Thermal and Wind power plant and for analysis of Active-Reactive power and grid frequency. Analysis of Active power and frequency gives the exact idea to know the range of maximum permissible loads that can be connected to their relevant bus bars. Reactive power flow between a wind turbine system and the grid is an important issue especially when the wind turbine is connected to a grid because Wind turbine power production depends on wind speed. The output power is not constant at all as wind speed changes all times. Output Voltage and frequency of these power plants must be same to avoid circulating current in existing power system network in the synchronization process. The maximum and minimum frequency deviation calculated for this smart power system network explains about the permissible range of active and inductive load applied at different load bus, from which stable working condition of the system has been deduced in order to satisfy the frequency deviation of + 3%. The Smart Grid, regarded as the next generation power grid, uses two-way flow of electricity and information to create a widely distributed automated energy delivery network.Item Active vibration control of cantilever beam(AIKTC, 2020-05) Meshram, Atul; Khan, Md Saqulain; Mansoori, Himayatullah (16ME42); Khan, Mohd Zeeshan Abdul Rehman; Siddique, Aamir SohailActive vibration control is defined as a technique in which the vibration of a structure is reduced or controlled by applying counter force to the structure that is appropriately out of phase but equal in amplitude to the original vibration. As a result two opposite force cancel each other and structure stops vibrating. Active vibration control makes use of smart structure and smart material. Smart materials and structures refers to structures that can assess their own health, perform self-repair or can make critical adjustments in their behavior as conditions change. The system mainly requires actuators, sensors, source of power and a compensator that performs well when vibration occurs.Item Actual indicator diagram mechanism(AIKTC, 2019-05) Shah, UbaidThe main aim of this project is to understand the mechanism of actual indicator diagram and its working principle. Furthermore to design and fabricate a low cost mechanical indicator prototype with the help of available non-expensive materials using comprehended studies done previously. Such type of indicators is mainly found to be used by steam and diesel engine manufacturers to enable them to work out horsepower ratings for the products. They are also a useful diagnostic tool to show problems with injection, valves, leaking piston rings etc. The engine indicator work on the principle of showing cylinder pressure plotted against piston movement (indicator diagram), and the resulting trace is marked onto a piece of treated paper to give a permanent record. The pressure is taken from the cylinder on test into the indicator. The indicator has a small cylinder with a piston which operates against a spring which sets the operating range. The indicator diagram is very important to know the combustion in the cylinder and also to adjust the engine. The diagram is taken periodically from the indicator valve equipped on the cylinder head and combustion condition is to be confirmed. The compression pressure and maximum pressure in the cylinder can be presumed from the indicator diagram. Engine indicator is the device used to take the indicator diagram, which can be considered as a ‘stethoscope’ for diesel engines. This diagram give efficiency of combustion in the cylinder, condition of the running gear, irregularities in fuel pumping and injection and a lot of things. The present work is aimed at learning the principle working of an actual indicator diagram and thereby designing and fabricating a low cost prototype engine indicator.Item Adaptive reuse of urban decay(AIKTC, 2021-05) Mhatre, Raj; Khan, Nadir (16AR18)There is a specific beauty that exists amongst architecture in the absence of routine human interaction; it is the beauty of decay. This beauty develops over time, as buildings cease to function in the way they were originally designed to do so. As this happens, such buildings become leftover, forgotten spaces that go unseen by the bulk of society; they are left to minor, often illicit alternate uses. The need to preserve architectural urban decay of historical and cultural value is getting more and more significant. At the same time it is very important to develop environment dynamically to sustain life activities in general. The thesis deals with the revitalization method with the purpose to preserve and restore abandoned structures, which assign a new function – to expand areas and adjust abandoned buildings to modern requirements. This dissertation will also explore an alternative strategy to a conservative adaptive reuse practices for different building typologies that not only complements but challenges that reveals the history through the unique character and the original intent of the design by preserving the spirit of place that is more than often lost in the process of adaptation by considering the meaning of place conveyed through its architectural expressions. The adaptive reuse strategy will be formulated and tested through case studies examples.Item Adaptive reuse: Revival of India united mills no. 2&3, Kalachowkie(AIKTC, 2022-05) Nambiar, Abhijit; Gazge, Tahrim Salahuddin (17AR10)From the early 19th century, Mumbai mills have played an important role in the cities economic condition, urban development and communal structuring. They have always been a vital part of Mumbai's heritage, are now abandoned due to their lack of architectural, historical, and symbolic significance. There have been some redevelopment projects merely on commercial, residential and political exploitations. These developments do not think about the long history of these mills, their contribution to the city and the impact of these projects on the immediate neighbouring context. This study is an effort to explore the redevelopment proposals for the mills in central Mumbai and revitalize the specific area around and within the precinct.Item Administrative headquarter for Panvel city municipal corporation(AIKTC, 2017-04) Shaikh, Riyaz; Patel, ImadMunicipal Corporation is the main governing body of any city and its administration headquarter is probably one of the most important building. The Municipal Corporation provides all the necessary facilities and services right from the water supply and drainage to the public parks and other facilities which makes a city habitable more so a desirable one. Hence, for a city to grow and develop the administration building has to be designed with the understanding of the functioning of the Municipal Corporation, nature of work being carried out there, comfort of the employees and visitors and also the security of the building. The purpose of the study is to establish the requirement of the Municipal Corporation’s administration building by understanding the history and current world scenario, the subject in Indian context, basic and additional requirements of the same for the best possible output. This book covers all the necessary aspect for understandings the subject to help in designing the administration building. Chapter 1 is about the introduction of the topic, Chapter 2 covers all the research and literature about the subject, Chapter 3 is the compilation of the case studies of Indian and International case studies, Chapter 4 talks about the various aspect of selection of the site and Chapter 5 is the conclusion of all the previous chapters where the programme is finalized. The Administration building of Municipal Corporation in Indian context lacks the basic connectivity of different spaces and departments. Most importantly, City’s topmost important building lacks the connection to its citizen which is taken into consideration in other countries. Therefore, the reformation and a different prospect is required while designing such an important building which could change the fate of the city.Item Advance driver assistance system(AIKTC, 2015-12) Shaikh, Afzal; Kazi, Emad; Patel, Arsalan; Salunkhe, Abhijeet (11ET45); Khedekar, MustakimIn the current scenario, the world is plagued by accidents which are primarily due to human errors in judgment and hence thousands of lives are lost. In order to make roads safer, cleaner and smarter, sensor and communication technologies are increasingly considered in research, standardization and development. While today‘s vehicles are already able to sense the surrounding environment, we expect that future cars will communicate with a roadside communication infrastructure and with each other. Connected vehicles create a fundamental building block of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and can provide numerous application services to improve safety and comfort of driving. These accidents can be avoided if only if there was a mechanism to alert the drivers of approaching danger. This can be done by monitoring the distance between nearby cars and alerting the driver whenever the distance becomes too short. Vehicle-to-vehicle communication can prevent crashes. Smarter cars that talk to one another are the next step in auto safety. Wireless, vehicle-to-vehicle communication systems warn you of potential hazards. This is prime aim of our topic. In this topic, we propose the use of Bluetooth & Ultra Sonic Motion Sensor Technology by which we can check the speed of the car whenever it comes dangerously close to any other vehicle up front, thereby saving many lives.Item Advanced Level Campus Networking Designing on GNS3 or CISCO Packet Tracer(AIKTC, 2021-05) Tamboli, Mujib; Adhikari, Niha Zubair (17ET01); Mamgai, Hemant Mohanchandra (17ET26); Maniyar, Sohail Ibrahim (17ET27); Mevekari, Ameen Bashir (16ET21)The development of computer network for CAN has become most significant issues in our day to day life .
